Environmental protection
LUKOIL is strongly associated with respect for the environment, thanks to the following achievements:
- Improved environmental properties of new types of motor fuel "LUKOIL" provide a significant reduction in emissions of carcinogenic substances, sulfur, nitrogen and other harmful substances;
- LUKOIL has developed on industrial scale the production and sale of environmentally friendly diesel fuel with a low-grade of sulfur less than 50 ppm and less than 10 ppm, corresponding to European standard EN-590: 2004;
- Due to the low content of sulfur and aromatic in fuels LUKOIL Euro 5, the total emissions of combustion products into the environment is more than twice reduced: release of carcinogenic nitro-polyaromatic hydrocarbons decreased by 8 times, the emission of nitrogen compounds decreased by more than 2 times, soot emissions decreased by 1,5-2 times.
In order to protect the environment from pollution, the company carries out necessary activities to reduce atmospheric emissions: reservoirs are equipped with pontoons, breathing valves and other fittings. To prevent pollution of sewage, oil depots and gas stations are equipped with sewage treatment facilities.
Participation in the projects of social importance to the country
Since its foundation, LUKOIL-Moldova actively participated and continues to participate in the activities of social importance, such as:
- financing of repair works on reconstruction of cultural and historical monuments: the Cathedral of Chisinau, the Moldovan Metropolia building, monasteries Capriana and Condrita, reconstruction of the museum "A.S. Pushkin", reconstruction of II World War Victory memorials in Chisinau and Sherpeni;
- financial support for education development and, above all, support for students. In accordance with the concluded agreement on cooperation between LUKOIL-Moldova and the Technical University of Moldova company annually sets 12 personal awards to the best students, 2 personal scholarships – to the best doctoral students of the University and 2 personal fellowships – to young researchers in the field of economics and management;
- financial assistance for 27 veterans, pensioners, boarding schools and other community organizations;
- facilitating the organization and financing of cultural activities of the capital: concerts, performances of new talents, music, national festivals.
Labour syndicates of "LUKOIL-Moldova" Ltd
Labour syndicates of "LUKOIL-Moldova" Ltd (chairman Ivanov YV) was established in 2001 and unites on a voluntary basis, employees of LUKOIL-Moldova and Staff Logistics for advancing the interests and rights of employees of enterprises in the field of labor relations, collective effort to seek addition to solving the basic production problems.
On 09.01.2010 at labour syndicates included 1,158 people, or 99% of staff. Labour syndicates of "LUKOIL-Moldova" Ltd is a part of Federation of Chemical Industries and Energy Resources of the Republic of Moldova (FSCRE), president Stratila NK.
On vertical organizational structure, labour syndicates of "LUKOIL-Moldova" Ltd is a part of International Association of Labour Syndicates of OAO LUKOIL (president Kiradiev G.M.) and included in the map of IALS. The structure of labour syndicate is composed of the labour syndicate committee and the audit commission.
